Furry Foam Cray V3

Furry Foam Crayfish Version 3

Again, I look into re-fine this furry foam pattern... with new material from Deer Creek, the Micro Velvet rope.

Material list:

Long shank curve hook
Bead chain or lead eye if you wish to fish deeper water
Furry Foam
Micro Velvet Rope fro Deer Creek
Gray Fox hair
Sili legs and rubber legs
Hard head eye
Pink and orange Ice Dub
Flashabou

Step by step tying instruction:

Prepare the thread base

Tie in the bead chain

Tie in the furry foam

Tie in the XS rubber legs

Tie in the flashabou and someGray fox hair

tie in a pair of long Sili leg and dub in some Orange or Pink Ice Dub ( as the hot spot ), Brush out the fibers

Prepare a pair of pincer with the Micro Velvet rope

 Tie in the pincers

Tie in the eye

Apply some Ice dub and brush the fibers out

Tie in the legs

Tie in all the legs, longer to the front and shorter at the last pair

Wind in some Ice dub in between the legs and fold over the furry foam

Wind in the Chenille ( optional ) or you can use the Ice dub

Tie down the foam in sections

Figure 8 around the hook eye and the bead chain to create the fin, Whip finish

Apply some colors with markers.... Ready

Furry Foam Crab V3

Furry Foam Crab V3 ( version 3 )


Material List :

Gray Fox hair
Furry Foam 
ICE Dubbing - Pink
crawdad dubbing
Micro Velvet rope
Rubber Leg
Hard Head eye
Flashabou
Beadchian or Dumbell 
Saltwater hook size 4-6



Step by step tying instruction:

 Refer to Furry Crab V2, prepare the hook, tie in the beadchain and furry foam

Tie in the flashabou and a pair of rubber leg

Dub in some Pink ICE dub

 Tie in some fox hair fiber

Put in some Snowbug dubbing


 Tie in a pair of Hardhead Eye

 Tie in the pincer

Tie in the 1st pair of leg

 Tie in the rest of the legs and use some dubbing to separate the legs

 Fold over the furry foam, tie down

 Trim the foam and tie down, apply a small drop of Diamond Fine UV Resin to secure it

Buggy Shrimp





Buggy Shrimp




Material List :

Saltwater Hook size 4 
Bead Chain
Flashabou
Pink Ice pearl dubbing
Light orange dubbing
Mono eye or any type of shrimp eye
Deer Creek Sili legs
Australia Opossum hair fibers
Deer Creek Diamond Hard UV resin
Marker

Step by step tying instruction:


Prepare the thread base and tie in the bead chain

Wind in some orange dubbing

Tie in some Opossum fibers

Tie in a pair of eye

Tie in the flashabou as anttena

Tie in some Pink Ice Dubbing

Tie in 1st pair of sili leg

Dub in some Pink Ice dubbing

Tie in the 2nd and 3rd pair of sili legs, use some orange dubbing to separate the legs and as the same time present as a spawning shrimp 

Brush out some dubbing fiber

Tie in some Opossum fibers

Trim the fibers and tie down

Dub in some Opossum fiber to the body

Whip finish

Drop some Diamond Hard UV resin to secure the fiber

Dry it with UV light

Brush out some of the fiber

Highlight with marker
